Songwriting master class

This summer, ROC Star Academy is launching a brand-new 6-Week Songwriting Master Class designed for musicians, singers, aspiring songwriters, and creative artists who want to learn how great songs are written—and bring those songs to life. Over six weeks, students will learn:

• How to analyze and understand successful songs


• Lyric writing and storytelling techniques


• Melody creation and vocal phrasing


• Metaphors, imagery, and avoiding clichés
• Song structure and arrangement


• Creative exercises used by professional songwriters


• How to develop their own unique artistic voice


• Collaborative feedback and songwriting workshops

 

Throughout the program, students will work toward completing an original song of their own. As a special part of the experience, participants will receive studio time to record their original song, giving them the opportunity to leave the course with both new songwriting skills and a finished recording they can proudly share with friends, family, and future audiences. Whether you're writing your first song or looking to sharpen your craft, this workshop is designed to help you grow as a songwriter in a supportive and inspiring environment.
